The old covenant was devoid of The Spirit. It's the spirit that's free and created after Christ, not the body. Do you know the believer's new life in the spirit is called the new man? This new man is created after God in righteousness and true Holiness. Man is a spirit, who has a soul and lives in a body. Know that your body has been purchased by The Holy Spirit which makes it His temple. You are just a custodian of your body! So don't mess the temple of God up! Listen to 100% truth of God's word.
