UNDERSTANDING THE NEW TESTAMENT 4 (PART 2)
Do you know when it comes to covenants there is always a divine exchange? This means what belongs to one party also belongs to the other. David and Jonathan’s friendship was a classic example of this according to 1 Samuel 18:3.
Do you know covenants are not made in vacuum, there is always something binding that confirms the covenant? God wanted David to be King and rule over his people but according to human rulership of Kings at the time, there were a different tribe of people who qualified not David. Because God is always committed to his Word, what He said about David was established in its appointed time.
