Do you have the power over food, sexual desires and sleep? The Greek word for Self-Control (Temperance) is ENKRATEIA. It’s made up of two words. ‘En’ and ‘kratos’. The ‘En’ means in and ‘Kratos’ means power. Therefore, Self-Control / Temperance (ENKRATEIA) means ‘in power’. God is not a respecter of persons. He can use anyone He chooses, so don’t serve God like you’re doing Him a favor.God chose to share with little Samuel what he was going to do to Eli and his sons. Serve well because you can be sure that if you don’t, there will be raised someone to replace you. Do not serve to please men.Whether you serve Him or not, remember He still remains God. In service, you need to be dead, so that you are not offended when rebuke comes to you in your service. God is using it to shape you.This message will change the way you serve God.

Do you know that most people will prefer to do what pleases them than obeying anything God's will says concerning a particular situation?Meekness is allowing your will to be controlled by God.Anybody that has a relationship with God has his desires altered because it's no more what he desires but what God's will says. We can clearly see it in the life of Abraham when God told him to sacrifice his son Issac. He didn't hesitate but did as God had instructed him.Abraham could have said a "Big No" to God, but he gave in willingly to do what God wants him to do. This is not weakness or humility, it's pure Meekness.This message will bless you.
