We can clearly see it in the life of Abraham when God told him to sacrifice his son Issac. He didn't hesitate but did as God had instructed him.Abraham could have said a "Big No" to God but he gave in willingly to do what God wants him to do. Do you go by this description: short-tempered? Are you looking for a solution to your 'short fuse'? Look no further because the answer lies in your spirit. God gave you His patience (long suffering) when you accepted Him into your life.
Since this is His character, you have to understand how He lives that character in order to exude it correctly. When people keep 'pressing your buttons', it is an opportunity to grow your patience.
When we mature in long suffering, instead of responding immediately to triggers it takes a very long time for us to respond even when we are treated unfairly. Where would we be if God didn't have patience? Think of this!
